Never give up and stay ambitious! (Post #1)

Mabeth said, “That is a step/ On which I must fall down, or else o'erleap, For in my way it lies.” (Macbeth, Act I, Sc. 4, 50-51)

Macbeth mentions in the play that for himself to become king, he is either going to have to step over Malcolm or give up because he’s in his way. Macbeth’s ambition of becoming king might go down the drain if he decides to give up at this point. However, as the play goes on, Macbeth did not give up and tried his best to become king.

In our world today, everyone has the desire for personal achievement. Ambition provides the motivation and determination to achieve goals in life. Ambitious people seek to be the best at what they choose to do for attainment, power, or superiority. Teens like me today all have a similar goal right now. That is to do well in school, receive excellent grades, and get into the university that they have always dreamed of getting into.

Just like Macbeth, teens should not abandon their dreams, but strive to achieve instead. If there are competitions between the same goals (just like Macbeth and his companions), then teens should work harder to accomplish it. In fact, I think it is better to have competitors because it gives you more determination to be successful. Also, teens would be able to notice their weaknesses by being compared to other competitors. This would give them a chance to improve on it to be at the top.

To wrap it all up, I would like to simply say that giving up is not the key to success. If you have the desire to become successful, do not let anything put you down. Just learn to look straight ahead and follow your path by doing your best to achieve your dream. Trust me, your hard work and efforts will pay off some time in the future!

Never give up and stay ambitious!
This topic of the post relates to the overall theme because teens could face problems like Macbeth has. Like I have mentioned in the first paragraph, Macbeth's situation of having a competitor is a situation people face in the world today as well. If one is ambitious, he/she must never give up and fight through with all their might!
